Live A Little Christmas Everyday ~

The Christmas Eve service did it again.  As always, the message is delivered loud and clear.  Whether it comes through the minister’s sermon or the songs that are sung, one can’t help but to walk away pondering a thought or two.

This year the Youth Choir Ensemble left me to think about these words ~

In The Bleak Midwinter

In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan, earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone; snow had fallen snow on snow, in the bleak midwinter, long ago.

Our God, Heaven cannot hold Him, nor earth sustain; Heaven and earth shall flee away when He comes to reign; in the bleak midwinter a stable place sufficed the Lord God incarnate, Jesus Christ.

Angels and archangels may have gathered there, Cherubim and seraphim thronged the air; but His mother only, in her maiden bliss, worshiped the Beloved with a kiss.

What can I give Him, poor as I am?  If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb; if I were a wise man, I would do my part; yet, what can I give Him ~ Give my heart.

Christina Rosetti, 1830-1894

Lord, I give you my heart ~

While driving home, I realized that it is that simple ~

Give your heart unto Him and your kindness to each other, and live a little Christmas, everyday.  ~Pause and Smile~
